Three members of the BURN MY EYE photography collective - Andrew Kochanowski from the United States, Junku Nishimura from Japan, and TC Lin from Taiwan - are joining forces to hold a three-day workshop in Taipei, Taiwan, this October. It will mark the collective's first such event in Asia.
Taipei, with its friendly people and dense network of meandering alleys hiding a rich blend of the ancient and the modern, is ideal for street photography, with a unique mix of the public and the private to be seen along the arcades fronting the ancient baroque facades of the old neighborhood.
The workshop will start on the morning of Saturday, October 7th, with portfolio reviews and presentations/discussions about street photography, followed by shooting during the daytime, and editing/discussions throughout the three-day period.
We will spend time photographing in and around the historic Tua Tiu Tiann area of Taipei, and give on-site feedback and guidance on subjects ranging from shooting to editing/sequencing, as well as reviews of student work, making for an excellent chance to explore and develop your vision. Selected photographic work from workshop students will also be printed for exhibition at a local gallery.
Workshop fee: NT$12,000/€340/US$400
(Early-bird price of NT9,000/€250/US$300 until August 31)
